Dr Bernadette McElhinney is a highly regarded Gynaecologist based in West Perth, Western Australia. With over a decade of experience, she is known for her expertise in managing complex gynaecological conditions, particularly in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis, and pre-cancerous cervical conditions.
Dr McElhinney completed her basic medical training in the United Kingdom before relocating to Perth to pursue advanced training in laparoscopic surgery. She has since developed extensive skills through fellowships in both the UK and Australia.
She currently holds a senior clinical position at King Edward Memorial Hospital, where she works as part of the Endoscopy team, providing tertiary-level care for patients with endometriosis. She also leads the hospital’s colposcopy service, supporting patients with abnormal cervical screening results.
