What Is Microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling with PRP is a cosmetic medical procedure that combines two techniques designed to support natural skin rejuvenation. Using a device fitted with fine, sterile needles, microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. This process encourages the body’s natural healing response, including the production of collagen and elastin.
To complement this, your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is used. During your appointment, a small vial of blood is collected and processed in a specialised centrifuge to separate the plasma from the other blood components. This PRP is then applied to the treated area. PRP contains naturally occurring growth factors that assist with tissue repair and may help enhance the overall treatment outcome.
